Jax Frieders

Through earning a B.S. in Art from Northern Illinois University, Jax became well-versed in a wide array of media while continuing to pursue digital art on the side. When tackling composition, he draws inspiration from old-school cartoonists, favoring recognizable silhouettes and memorable outfits. His art includes experimental, vibrant colors and expressive mark-making. Through his scenes that seem everyday on the surface, Jax hopes to evoke thoughts regarding absurdity, conformity, and empathy. The artist uses typography and background details to draw the viewer in and question the meaning of the piece; which is deliberately left open to interpretation.
