Artist statement
My work is an extension of myself, my thoughts, my wishes, and my experiences. Most are representations of events or ideas that relate to my own life and past, specifically, as my experiences as a woman—that includes the celebrations, the hardships, and everything in between. I have as much passion as I do rage when it comes to what women experience on a daily basis, and I find it necessary and therapeutic to express it through my illustrations.

ARTIST BIO
LEANN NOESEN is an illustrator residing in DeKalb, Illinois. Graduating Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration spring of 2023, she creates playful narrative illustrations based on the intersection of modern issues relating to women and the effect of those issues on her life.
