Deanna uses her surroundings to explore the concept of living in our ever-changing contemporary world, creating self-portraits through mundane objects and places. Her images highlight color and reoccurring motifs to create formally interesting graphic images.

Artist Bio
Deanna Doty is a photographer born and raised in Elgin, Illinois. In 2021, she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design and Media Arts with an emphasis in photography from Northern Illinois University. She uses her surroundings to explore the concept of living in our ever-changing contemporary world, creating self-portraits through mundane objects and places. Her images highlight color and reoccurring motifs to create formally interesting graphic images.
