Artist Statement

As I got older, art grew into a passion of mine and a way to express myself and give a viewer a look into my life or my experience on certain subjects. I am a mixed media artist and I focus on sketching, painting, video art, 2-D and 3-D artwork that relates to my life in some way. My artwork aims to pull emotion from my viewers or have a sense of understanding and the feeling of being in my shoes and pull their attention with the bright colors I put into my artwork. My goal is to create artwork that sheds light on what I’m feeling or give them an experience that they can only get through me and my art piece. I use my artwork as an expression to show how I  feel or what she wants the viewer to see. By shaping materials and mixing different bright colors to catch the viewer's attention, I eschew traditional art-making expectations, in favor of expressing a vision that honors the entirety of our cultural moment. I seek to provoke poetically charged conversations around identity, beauty and the transformative nature of time. With my work, I strive to bring awareness and appreciation to the power of our interconnected experience and to help spark moments of joy and understanding that everyone can appreciate and enjoy.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sounds like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest.
