Artist Statement
Through the use of various software such as Zbrush, Maya, Adobe Substance Painter, and Adobe Premiere Pro I strive to make semi-realistic animations. I aim to focus on high intensity scenes such as fight scenes as there is an emphasis on a natural flow of the characters movements. Good pace and natural but powerful movements are very important to me overall as part of my style. I am heavily influenced by the graceful and even flashy aspects of the fantasy genre in general but I try to keep it rooted in realism but a bit exaggerated. When I make a model or animation I make it just to be enjoyed. I want it to be a break from the real world and all that is happening in it. The viewer should be able to sit back and just enjoy it, possibly even react to the scene in a positive way.
ARTIST BIO
Dominic Vescovi, currently attending college at Northern Illinois University for a BFA in Time Arts works in a digital medium focusing on animation and 3D modeling. Through his work he strives to create intense high speed animations with a fantasy inspiration. He wants to focus on combat animations for video games or film to express his background and personal interests.
