About My Senior Project

Religion & Politics is a book that explores the effects that religion has had on America in various ways. Growing up with religion, I first noticed the way it had affected my life when I moved out for the first time. I also noticed that bringing up religion in conversation was very difficult and often led to short conversations that didn’t amount to much. I created this book for people to use as a vessel for conversation about topics like religion and politics. The contents range from the history of religion in America, to the way religion affects our brains, to the intersections of cults and religion. I wanted the book to have visual appeal to keep the reader interested and emphasize the rule breaking aspect of the concept. I believe that through the power of conversation, we can all have a better and more complete understanding of the human experience.
