About My Senior Project

Sugar, Butter, Flour: The Schneider Family Baking Book is a personal project to showcase my family’s baking recipes. The memories that I created with my mom and sister are the ones I cherish the most, and I want others to experience that as well. However, baking can be a difficult hobby when one does not know of it, so this book was created and designed with a beginner’s mindset. The front of the book has sections with lists of basic ingredients and equipment as well as terminology and techniques that are mentioned throughout the recipes. Each recipe has custom descriptive wording and a color-coded difficulty level. The goal of Sugar, Butter, Flour is for the users to learn and apply the essentials of baking by making the recipes. In the end, they will become a more confident and successful baker.
