Artist Statement
In my body of work, I combine elements of both scientific illustration and concept art together to create unique and interesting pieces. On top of this, I wanted to explore and try to find a middle ground that highlights aspects of two conflicting styles of illustration. For the pieces that are somewhere in the middle, I want them to feel like viewing a diorama that captures a specific moment in time. Overall, my work is meant to combine two completely different styles of illustration that I love while also strengthening areas of illustration that I struggle with.
