Artist Statement

My art is a reflection of me and my inner child. I often use mystery and vagueness to detach from reality. My art doesn't often comment on social issues or other things that a child wouldn't normally understand because It is a way to escape into fantasy, but when I do comment on the world around me, I do it subtly. I like to leave small symbols and other things I find meaningful that will be up to the viewer's interpretation. I don't like to make my work easy for someone to understand, but I like to make it meaningful to me and I want it to be understood.
