Artist Statement
I love to let my mind run wild with different ideas of creatures and places, and I use art as a way to bring those ideas to life. In order to share these ideas more easily, I use animation and 3D modeling to communicate these ideas to the viewer in a form that is easy to understand.
In the world that we live in, there are many people and places that become second nature to us. I want to create work that takes familiar concepts and adds to them in order to create new ideas and scenarios. I use my work to open doors to the viewer, allowing them to think and create like I do.

ARTIST BIO
John Haberstich is a digital artist who lives in Kingston Illinois and specializes in 2D animation. He first became interested in art attending Hiawatha High School, and continued his passion attending Kishwaukee College where he earned his Associates in Fine Arts. His inspiration in art comes from his enjoyment of fantasy settings and creatures. John’s art aims to tell stories about creatures and places he wants other people to experience. He uses illustrations to create his concepts, and then uses mediums such as 2D animation and 3D modeling as a way to bring these concepts to life.
