Artist Statement
The ability to create art offers a voice and a creative path. I find my voice through romanticizing nature and discovering peace in it. Nature inspires me—it is accepting—offering an escape from the social pressure of everyday life. The goal throughout my work is to create a safe world, placing my characters in scenes where they can keep away from the dangers of the modern world. I like to incorporate the reality of mental health, and how finding peace is achieved through the integration of the internal and external self.
